
Ok, so, this is my attempt to LEAN into vegan. Veganism is something I never thought I would even consider, not in my wildest dreams. I have always been a proud meat eater, even prouder red meat eater. I was the guy who would crack jokes and give vegans a pretty hard time just because I thought I knew the truth, "we are carnivores"...blah, blah, blah. However, lately, for some strange reason, maybe a combination of health, a friend's first hand experience (the ultimate NYC vegan, Nick Mitchell)...and yes, I'll admit it, a little sprinkling of Oprah, I have not only come to consider a change in the way I think about what I put into my body, but to actually try to lean into vegan. I say lean because I can't just completely change my life long eating habits overnight. I know everyone is different and I assume for some that stopping cold turkey (forgive my choice of words) and making the change in one full swoop is the easiest way to go. However, I have to be honest with myself and with my body, so the best way for me to try this experiment is to lean...lean into vegan.
